Avatar and Social Activism
Humans wish they could live like the Na’vi. There is some deep carnal desire to live in tune with nature, taking only what you can give back, using only what is necessary to survive. Humans want to be able to scientifically prove that God exists, even if that God is a neural network housed inside a planet called Pandora. Everyone wants to fly.

Seesmic's Official Response
I just received an email with Seesmic’s official response to the original tweet. (See the post here.) Looks like they’re doing everything they can to clean things up.
Dear TeamSeesmic Friends, Over the weekend, we were informed through Twitter that some users received spam to their email accounts specifically used for the TeamSeesmic newsletter. After working directly with certain...

What Matters Now →
This is a fascinating read. The eBook is full of 1 page pieces of encouragement, insight, inspiration and general “Go do something!” messages. Do take a look.
As an aside: page 22 is one of the reasons I married my wife. She’s fantastic at the things I hate doing. :D

Update on Seesmic Spam

Seesmic is trustworthy, only so far as you can trust the services they use, I suppose.
As an aside, Seesmic for Android is very nice, now that it has list support.

Twitter Bias
While drinking vodka with a bunch of Russians, we got on the topic of the value of Twitter. Me being an advocate and a tech junky, I chime in with my impression: Twitter is where I get up to the minute news and interesting links from people I respect in the tech industry.
The response I got:
“The reason you say the best minds in social media and technology are all on Twitter is because...
Glasser Pojo
Common search term on this blog is “Glasser,” though it returns no results (till now!) To clear things up: I did repackage the Firefox extension Glasser and submit Glasser Pojo.
I am not the original developer of Glasser. Glasser was seemingly abandoned by it’s original developer, so the compatible version numbers had not been updated. All I did was take Glasser, set...
Everyone Hates Blackboard
The problem: Blackboard owns the education software market for Universities. Why is this a problem? Their software is out-dated, but there’s really not another mainstream option out there.
Some history: Blackboard started out as a startup which gained traction by offering their service for free to professors. Professors, lacking a better solution, would use the service and give the link...
